The Sun King Louis XIV commanded an army of gardeners to create topiary fences (“palisades”) and intricate geometric garden designs (“parterres”) at Versailles. Our updated baroque landscape mural is based on illustrations of 17th-century French gardens from a rare book in the Colonial Williamsburg library. In this version of our Palissades mural, baroque treillage pavilions accent your interior, creating a vista worthy of a chateau.

The inaugural WILLIAMSBURG Mural Collection X Paul Montgomery re-envisions the rich design archive of Colonial Williamsburg the world's largest living history museum, within a modern sensibility. Sales of WILLIAMSBURG products support Colonial Williamsburg's missions of education, preservation, and engaged citizenship – "That the future may learn from the past."
